Cabanas Gardens complex is located at Fortaleza, the east end of Cabanas. The waterfront village is just a short walk away with its many restaurants, bars and many other facilities. This is the ideal place to waking up in the morning to sunshine and a sea breeze just 200 metres from the Ria Formosa lagoon, arm in arm with one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the Algarve.
GENERAL BOOKINGS TERMS:
The properties/accommodation is intended for holiday rentals and are furnished and equipped to accommodate the number of occupants indicated as the house maximum capacity. Rates are subject to change without prior notice and may not be considered for contractual purposes. The descriptions and prices published per property/accommodation in a self-catering regime, in Euros (€) and include all taxes. ** The price includes: accommodation per night, water, electricity, gas, maintenance of the garden and pool, cleaning weekly with change of linen and towels weekly (after 7 nights). Guests have in addition some extra towels and bed linen, store within the house. The price do not includes: Mid-week cleaning, towels and bed linen change, washing dishes, laundering of personal items or other items. ** Cleaning: general cleaning, towels and linen changed weekly (after 7 nights). ** Minimum Stays: In July and August the minimum stay is 1 week (7 nights) and in the other months the minimum stay is 3 nights. ** Changeover day: Flexible. ** Check-out: by 10:00 am / Check-in: between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm ** Late check-in: between 7:00 pm and 12:00 pm = 30€ / After 12:00 pm = 40€ ** Late check-out: 30€ per hour (subject to availability) ** Payments Policy: Rates are in € Euros. Payments by Bank transfer/deposit or cash. ** Reservations Policy: Any holiday booked will require a non-refundable deposit of 30% from the total stay and the balance settled 4 weeks prior to arrival. Any booking made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking. ** Damage Deposit: A cash deposit of 300,00 Euros is required upon arrival to cover any possible damages. ** Cancellations: All cancellation notices must be made in writing. The initial payment/deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations up to 15 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of 30% of the accommodation cost. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will forfeit all monies paid. ** Pets are not allowed. The village of Cabanas lies on the Eastern Algarve just 5km east of Tavira and facing the lagoons of the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve and the Island of Cabanas. Cabanas is a former fishing village whose origin goes back to the old days of tuna fishing in this area, and which even today remains a picturesque fishing village and now a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful beach located on an island just offshore and its binding to the Ria Formosa and Atlantic Ocean. The branch of the Ria Formosa that separates the Island of Cabanas from the mainland is quite narrow and you can cross it by foot at low tide, but the preferred means of access is, however, by boat that only takes a few minutes from Cabanas. Along the waterfront is a boarded walkway that runs the entire length of the Avenida da Ria with brightly coloured fishing boats along the water’s edge, and its several facilities you need on holiday, such supermarket, cafés, bars, small shops, and many restaurants where you can taste the local oysters and clams picked in the nearby nurseries, as well as the various octopus dishes and other delicacies.
Facing Cabanas Village is the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, a natural paradise between land and sea. Ria Formosa is a unique lagoon system that is continually changing because of the movements of winds, currents, and tides. A gift of nature, of approximately 18,000 hectares, it is an area of transition between land and sea skirting 60 km of the Eastern Algarve coastline, between the Ancão peninsula and the Manta Rota beach in the East. This internationally recognized wetland is an invaluable habitat for wildlife: flamingos, buzzards, woodcocks and kingfishers.
The Eastern Algarve area features flat white sandy beaches with the warm Atlantic Ocean water tempered by the Mediterranean Sea, many are blue flag beaches. The beaches are usually reached either by boat or water taxi and in Cabanas people can also go further afield to Tavira, and other beautiful beaches such Tavira Island, Barril beach and some others. Walking along these beaches is a pleasant experience and you only have to walk a short distance to be able to enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet and perfect isolation. The eastern Algarve region is less commercially exploited than the central and western Algarve and here you will still find typical Portuguese villages offering simple local restaurants and bars serving locally caught fresh fish, seafood and many other local products.
The area boasts great choices for golfers such the Benamor Golf is just 3 minutes drive and there other golf courses witihn 15 minutes drive enjoy the fabulous facilities as well as one of the most challenging courses in the area such Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima, Monte Rei, Castro Marim Golf and others. In the region there some other gorgeous small villages. The iconic and historic city of Tavira is just 5km to west, one of the oldest towns in the Algarve and considered to be one of the most beautiful town in the whole region, famous for its architecture, culture and natural and cultural heritage. Tavira has a romantic setting by the river Gilão and the seven-arch Roman bridge. The surroundings visits to places should include places like Santa Luzia, Cacela Velha, Vila Real de Santo António and Castro Marim.
